Ana Carolina, 12Spelling Bee,Y-o-u-v-e G-o-t T-h-i-s.

Listen to their story

Today, I’m going to participate in a Spelling Bee. This is the first time I’ve ever entered a Spelling Bee and I’m very nervous. My hopes for today are that I can win and that I represent my school as best I can.

I worry that maybe I won’t be able to advance past the first round. But if it goes well, I could get through to the state and national competitions.

I always eat breakfast with my parents and my sister. It gives us a chance to think about what we’re doing today.

I am telling myself: I can do this, I’m well prepared.
