Harry, 83FIRST GRANDCHILD,You've got this.

Listen to their story

Today, I’m looking forward to seeing my granddaughter – our first grandchild – who lives in Singapore. I hope my granddaughter recognizes me, plays with me and doesn’t pick any bugs up.

I was quite emotional seeing her for the first time. She recognizes my wife now. I look forward to every evening when we get the video call from my son.

I tend to worry about things. When I eat breakfast, I tend to read a newspaper at the same time. I have a sheet of paper and a pen with me. I think about all the people I need to phone. I panic for a few minutes because the list seems endless, but I get on with it.

It’s quite therapeutic because you suddenly realize: Oh I can do this.
