Maria, 28Theatre Debut,You've got this.

Listen to their story

Today, a TV series I appear in is going to premiere. The producers said my scene is excellent. I’m very nervous, I’m excited and, well, I’m dying to see it!

I hope more work will come from this, because one of my dreams is to represent people with disabilities on TV.

The only thing that worries me is that certain media outlets will say I got the job due to compliance or forced inclusion – they say that a lot.

In this case my character does not at any point mention her disability, her wheelchair or her crutches – she’s just another character. I’m very proud to have played her, because this is what I want to see more of in the world.
