Thelma, 98ONE-WOMAN SHOW,You've got this.

Listen to their story

Tonight I’ll be performing my one-woman show in Chelsea. I take with me a chair and a footstool because I perform now sitting down, because I’m a little unsteady on my feet. For a long time I performed walking around, but now I do it sitting down. And funnily enough, it seems to go even better than when I was walking around.

I do get nervous. That’s why I’ve decided I probably won’t do it again, because at my age I don’t need to go through all that.

Every morning I feel grateful for my health and my life. My whole life has been so happy.

I’m really reaching the end of my life, so what is hope now? Hope is a smile. Hope is taking a deep breath. Hope has kept me going, I suppose, for 98 years.
