I’ve always wanted a tortoise. It has taken quite a while to persuade my mum, but today, we’re going to get two red-footed tortoises. I think I’m going to call them Bowser and Bruno.

I quite like that we’re getting them from a rescue place because it just means they’ll have like a better home with us. It makes me feel like I’m doing something good for them.

Me and my mum will clean them and then like feed them. I don’t mind having that responsibility because it’s not that much work.

When I wake up every day, the first thing I’ll do is check on them, then go and have my breakfast and get ready for school.

I think I will always have tortoises. In the future, I think I’ll probably get four tortoises.
