Today I’m meeting my first grandchild for the very first time. My hopes are that he looks like me!
I think for us as a family, having a new grandchild is about a new beginning – a new chapter in our lives after a pretty dark period.
Bereavement is a funny thing. We all react differently. As a family, we became very fractured. So today it’s about looking to the future and healing, looking back at my experiences as a new parent, and then trying to relay my experiences to the present day.
I want to share my experience to make my daughter’s life and journey into parenthood easier.
