Siobhan, 50Overnight Shift,You've got this.

Listen to their story

I hope that I have a good working day today. I’m currently a volunteer vaccinator.

Every day is different in any area of nursing. Every day you’re meeting people who may not want to be in hospital, they may not want to be prodded and poked. And I really think it’s up to us as nurses to make them feel comfortable, give them a safe space, be a sounding board, and get them through it.

Morning is the opportunity to start over. I can make a difference today even if I didn’t make a difference yesterday.

Hope for me is people and good deeds. I’ve met plenty in my lifetime, and I’m very grateful for that. I carry a lot of them with me, still. And I hope I’m somebody that brings hope, as well.
