Today is my birthday, and it’s my new partner’s birthday as well. It’s a win win, because we both get to celebrate it together. Her daughter’s taking us out for afternoon tea.

I worry I’m going to say something wrong or swear, because it’s going to be quite a la-di-da sort of event.

I try to support my family. If they want someone to vent to, I just sit there and let them vent, and I try and help them through any tough times.

Susan, my partner, is my rock. She doesn’t judge, she supports me through and through. All I want to do is be part of the family and make a bond with her daughter.
