Today, I’m going to go to the venue for my 80th birthday party next week. We’re going to check it out, make sure everything’s as it should be.

My grandchildren are going to be doing the music, bluetoothing it and whatever. It’s not going to be a staid event. I can still do a mean wriggle around the dance floor. If I have to do that to get people up, so be it.

I’ve always been a bit eccentric, so the next day is a mystery and I’m excited to see what it holds. The cat wakes me up every morning, puts his paw on my nose and says it’s time for breakfast.

I do my own thing and I don’t really care what anybody thinks. When you get to my age, you don’t.
