David, 52Starting a band,You've got this.

Listen to their story

My hopes today are to go through with something I’ve been putting off for a long time. It involves leaving my current job to pursue music. It’s now or never.

I hope it goes smoothly, but I’m worried I may bottle out of it.

I thought it would just be nice if I could leave some sort of creative legacy, even if that’s just one vinyl, just one seven-inch record. After I’m gone, my kids can look at some of the band pictures and they can listen to the record. At least they’ll know this was another side to dad — he wasn’t just the guy making me pancakes in the morning.

I hope that my kids think of me as a good dad first and foremost, but also that there was a creative side to me.
