The kids are having their ski lessons and it’s the first time that our youngest is due to hit the main big slope and finally come off the training slope.

I hope he isn’t petrified because when you’re right at the top of a slope and you’re looking down, it’s really quite a steep gradient.

We’re getting psyched up for that and making sure we’re well fed because the worst thing is when the kids are like: I’m hungry, I’m hungry, in the middle of a ski slope.

There’s always something to be learned from stressful situations. I try and take a step back, do a bit of deep breathing to try and calm myself. And I think: Come on, Kirst. You can do this. What doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger and all that.
